We encourage students, stay-at-home residents of all ages, professionals who want to give some of their time and expertise to Gurgaon’s only community radio, to contact us.
Students
Students, both high school and college, routinely intern with Gurgaon Ki Awaaz. We only require that they should be able to read, write and speak Hindi. Students who complete 30 days of internship are given a certificate of the skills they have picked up at Gurgaon Ki Awaaz. Typically, these include, scripting, recording, editing, speaking on air, and understanding the dynamics of a community radio station.
Residents
Residents of all ages are encouraged to become a part of our large volunteer pool that comes in to broadcast programs, to help build partnerships and to help us raise funds to keep our work going. Some come in once a month, some once a week, some several times a week. The frequency is less important than the consistency and commitment. Become a part of the Gurgaon Ki Awaaz family. Write to us.
